CHORUS
Thunder in the night
Lightening strikes
gusty wind blows cold.
But it's warm inside my heart
With You, Lord, it'll be all right.
Cause I feel Your awesome power
in the thunder in the night.
VERSE
Raindrops shatter my windowpane
Darkness swallows the sky.
Devastation swirls all around me
Can You hear my desperate cry?
As I weather this storm
I know You're by my side.
CHORUS
Thunder in the night
Lightening strikes
gusty wind blows cold.
But it's warm inside my heart
With You, Lord, it'll be all right.
Cause I feel Your awesome power
in the thunder in the night.
VERSE
Blue skies reveal a river of tears
Still the dawn shines so bright.
Rainbows paint a sign of God's promise
Can't you see that hope's alive?
As you live through this storm
He's right here by your side.
CHORUS
Thunder in the night
Lightening strikes
gusty wind blows cold.
But it's warm inside my heart
With You, Lord, it'll be all right.
Cause I feel Your awesome power
in the thunder in the night.
BRIDGE
Nothing can separate me
from the love of Jesus Christ.
CHORUS
Thunder in the night
Lightening strikes
gusty wind blows cold.
But it's warm inside my heart
With You, Lord, it'll be all right.
Cause I feel Your awesome power
in the thunder in the night.
Yes, I feel Your awesome power
in the thunder in the night...
Lord, I feel Your awesome power.
Nothing can separate me from
Your love
Lord, I feel Your awesome power
in the thunder in the night.

Written and produced in a 12 hour span as Hurricane Jeanne hit the state of Florida.
In the summer of 2004, the State of Florida was ravaged by four hurricanes! I felt God's call to write a song about this tumultuous experience.
As communities hunkered down, uncertainty loomed. This song's purpose was to capture the intensity
